Who We Are
Second City Gaming is a community-driven nonprofit organization committed to strengthening Chicagoland through gaming, technology, and shared play. We create inclusive, welcoming spaces where people of all backgrounds can connect, learn, and thrive together.
Our work focuses on expanding access to technology, fostering meaningful social connection, and uplifting those who face the greatest barriers to participation — including youth, under-resourced communities, and individuals navigating economic or social challenges.
Through engaging events, educational initiatives, and neighborhood-based programming, we use gaming as a tool to build belonging, bridge divides, and promote opportunity across our city.

Celebrating resilience and achievement with Nintendo Switch 2 bundles, school supplies, and family support for Chicago Public Schools students facing adversity.

💖 Project Save Point
A mutual aid fund offering small emergency grants for essentials like rent, food, and transit—helping community members stabilize and move forward.

🚀 Project Saturn
An 8-week STEM adventure teaching high school students the art and science of game creation coding, marketing, streaming, and more.

Ending the digital divide by providing laptops, hotspots, and ongoing tech support to economically disadvantaged individuals.

In partnership with Lurie Children’s Hospital, bringing joy and play to hospitalized children through curated gaming experiences.

Producing gaming events for conventions, festivals, and cultural events, creating immersive lounges and large-scale setups that deliver inclusive, high-impact, and unforgettable experiences.
